How To Port Existing Mobile Number To Reliance JIO
Now you can port to reliance Jio with you existing mobile number, Mobile Number Portability has become flexible these days as you can move from your present mobile service provider to any mobile service provider of your like without loosing you present mobile number
Below Are The Steps For Mobile Number Portability To Reliance Jio
Step 1 : Send a text message to your current operator requesting for a port
Eg: PORT<10 digit mobile number>
Send to 1900 and in return you will get an auto generated 8 digits UPC-Unique Porting Code with 15-30 days validity from your current operator.
Step 2 : Google out your nearest Reliance Mobile Store or retailer
Step 3 : Visit your nearest Reliance Mobile Store or retailer and fill up the Customer Acquisition Form (CAF) & Porting Form
Step 4 : Submit the required documents (proof of address, proof of identity and photograph) along with the above forms and porting charges.
Step 5 : porting charges may be a maximum of Rs.19/-
Step 6 : Once every thing done you will be provided a new Reliance Jio SIM card there itself.
Note : Reliance Jio SIM Porting process takes a maximum time period of 7 days in all licensed service areas except in the case of J&K, Assam and North East licensed service areas where the maximum time taken is 15 days to activate
Step 7 : Once Reliance Jio SIM is activated, your old sim will be deactivated now insert your Reliance Jio sim and enjoy Reliance Jio network benefits.
Note : it is easy to know whether your Reliance Jio SIM is activated or not, if your present sim starts showing “No Service” means your number is ported from old network to Reliance Jio and it’s likely time to put in your new Reliance Jio SIM.
What All Things Do I Need To Carry With Me For Porting To Reliance JIO
- 8 digits UPC-Unique Porting Code you received
- Your present SIM
- ID proof documents (aadhaar card, PAN Card etc.)
- 1-4 passport size Photographs. usually 1 is required better to carry 4.
Can we Port perpaid and postpaid connections?
Yes any prepaid and postpaid customers can port to Reliance Jio. If you are a post-paid customer making a porting request, you should clear all the bills issued prior to the date of porting request.
You will also have to give an undertaking that you shall pay all dues till eventual porting. In event of non-payment, the ported mobile number shall be liable to be disconnected by the recipient operator.
If you are a pre-paid customer, please note that the balance amount of talk time, if any, at the time of porting will lapse.
